A crown being professionally placed on a tooth

When the damage to a tooth has passed a point of repair we can repair your smile with a life like crown (porcelain or porcelain-on-metal).

Benefits

Damaged teeth can cause you pain. A crown made of porcelain or a porcelain-on-metal can give you the support and structure that will help get rid of your pain. It will also restore a natural look to your smile.

The Process

We will begin by taking away the damaged parts of your tooth and shape it to fit the temporary crown while we make your permanent one. This means you can start eating and talking like normal right way.

Temporary Crowns

Temporary Crowns protect your teeth between your fitting visit and getting your permanent crown. They will also help prevent your teeth from shifting or food getting stuck in your teeth before you get your permanent crown. If your tooth shifts, it can affect the fitting process for your permanent crown. Remember that temporary crowns are not as strong as permanent crowns and are not as durable, you should stay away from cold and hot drinks and try not to eat hard and sticky foods.

Getting a Permanent Crown

When your permanent crown is ready it will be cemented into place and you will have a natural smile as you leave the office. If you feel like it was not fitted properly please contact your doctor to have it checked out.
